The Sunflower field blooms in Lopburi

The Sunflower is one of the most popular plants grown by farmers in Lopburi. The flower blossoms in a full scale of beauty between November and December. Due to continuous effort by public relations to implement an annual tourism festival, the resulting sunflower festival in Lopburi itself, has  become the most captivating tourist attraction of all. Sunflower is now planted in many Amphurs, such as Amphur Muang, Kok Samrong, and Pattananikhom. Nevertheless, sunflowers of other individual places, are slightly different due to the terms of the blooming period. Meanwhile, a major Sunflower Festival is organized at Khao Jean Lae, close to Wat Waeruwan in Amphur Muang. A variety of processed products from sunflowers and other souvenirs are also available for tourists to purchase and take back home. For those who wish to witness the most fascinating sunflower field and feel the true natural beauty of the sunflower, then they should go to Amphur Pattananikhom, a gateway to the entrance to Pak Sak Jolasid Dam. It is ideal as the State Railway of Thailand (SRT) organizes a special train trip for tourists to experience the sunflower field as well as the beautiful setting of Pak Sak Josasid Dam during the holiday, which includes this festival.
